February Favs

Since February is all about the love, I wanted to share some of the products I have been loving this month. With clients of all skin types, tones, and textures I am always looking for new products to fall in love with. Take a look at some of this months products and let me know if you have tried them and love them too!

Laura Mercier Shimmer Light Powder. $43 I wont sugar coat it and say that I immediately loved this product right off the bat. It definitely took some work with using different application techniques and finding which skin type and tone worked best with this. Once figuring out how I liked to use it best, it quickly became one of my go-to staples in my kit. This products performs the best applied lightly on the high points of the face. It is a little too sparkly for under eye setting, in my humble opinion. But makeup is meant to be fun and explored with, so if you have tried this please let me know how you love to use it!

Swake Cosmetics Sweat-proof Foundation. $49 This is not a new product to me but it is one that has made its way into my kit and on the faces of many, many, of my brides. We’ve all been a wedding where we got ready, did our hair, our makeup, and put on a fancy dress— but the wedding was in the south in the summer. So you can guess what a sweaty mess you’ll be by the end of it, and what was even the point of putting makeup on now? I have found a solution in Swake. A long-lasting, light and airy feeling of sweat-proof foundation that will leave you feeling like the best summer version of yourself. This cosmetics line, founded by fellow UGA alum, has made itself known in the athletic sphere and now the bridal world as well, and I cant wait to see where they grow!

Good Molecules Yerba Mate Eye Cream. $6 I purchased this at the beginning of the month and have been using it non-stop, I bought a second one for my clients. When I need to rapid de-puff and de-bag on wedding days I immediately reach for this to do the trick. A little goes a long way and typically I let it sink into the skin for a few minutes before going on top of it with any other products.

Makeup By Mario Master Mattes Palette. $50 Now, this isn’t a new product and it’s filled with what looks like ordinary neutral matte eyeshadows. But the way it performs on the skin is revolutionary. The formulas are creamy but not too spreadable and blend out like a dream. This has been the base of all of my looks recently, then topping them with some shimmer.

PawPaw Beauty Sponges. $10 If you are looking for the softest, squishiest, beauty sponge of them all for an extremely affordable price, then look no further. These little pink sponges come from Amazon in a 6 pack and the quality is insane. When dampened they grow to an enormous size and are perfectly shaped for melting together concealer and foundation.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to read. I would love to know if you have tried any of these products and chat about some of your favorites this month as well. As always, check out my Instagram for new makeup looks, Behind the Scenes of my weekly boudoir shoots, and just my crazy life in general!
