Glam on the GO: What’s in my travel makeup bag?

Listen up! Glamming on the go doesn’t have to be an ordeal, it can be easy and your makeup can look great if you know what to keep in your travel makeup bag. Now, if you’re like me, then you don’t want to be lugging around all of your makeup every where you go, every time you leave the house; so you have to pick the right essentials to keep you looking fresh all day long. Below, I have the specific products I keep in my on-the-go bag. It’s about finding what products can deliver a gorg quickie makeup look that can take you from day time work appropriate to night time slay.

First off, you need a handy bag that you can rely on to transport your essentials without any damage. While I can’t say that I’ve never just tossed a loose makeup brush into my cluttered clutch, I don’t really recommend it. You want a bag that can hold your longer items like brushes or palettes so you can keep them safe while traveling. In my daily travels I use a Sonia Kashuk bag from target that one of my sweet coworkers, Sabrina, got me for Christmas. For the makeup that I use for my clients I have a bag from Relavel Makeup Bag($29). This one is perfect for keeping my brushes neatly stored, my beauty sponges clean, and has plenty of space for all my palettes and other products.

Deciding what you need to keep in your travel makeup bag truly depends on your every day look and which products will benefit you the most on-the-go.

One of my holy grail products is the Clean & Clear Portable Unscented Oil Absorbing Sheets($7) - these are a must must must for summer day parties or a quick dab before a first impression. The package comes with what seems like never ending sheets, I’ve never used a whole pack and I have kept this in my bag for a year. The little sheets soak up any excess oil on the face without wiping off any of your makeup (a dream come true).

Another beauty product in my makeup bag is a small sample size bottle of perfume. I usually keep some type of scent in my purse but in case that is not around I know I have a little bottle of Ariana Grande Cloud perfume to help me convince people that I really am fresh and put together!

I like to keep a concealer that I know I love and isn’t too full coverage, like the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer ($7). You all have seen me brag on this product in previous blogs, and I really do like to keep it on me daily.

I cannot live without blush, I feel like it really brings my face some life and adds a nice warm look to my skin. I keep my fave little baked blusher from Milani tucked away in my bag so that I can always have access to romantic rosy cheeks. I desperately need a good bronzer in my on-the-go travels so I like to keep the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer ($15) in my bag. It usually matches me all year round and is a tried and true bronzer you can count on. I usually have an arsenal of lip products floating around in my purse from chapsticks to glosses and liquid mattes. I love a bare lip or even just a healthy glossed one. The last two products I like to keep on hand is an eyebrow pencil with a spoolie attached and a highlight because I

love the GLOW!

Some of these products can be left out or switched for different ones depending on what your everyday style is. I left out specific things like setting powder and eyeshadow shades because when I am normally on the go, I like to travel lightly. I could simply use my bronzing shade on the eyes to give them some depth and if you don’t apply too much, concealer can go un-set and it still look flawless throughout the day.

I hope reading this gives you some inspiration on what to keep in your makeup bag. If you have any suggestions for me I would love to hear them! Please like, comment, & share with your friends.
